We learn a lot of science things at school. However, we don't usually use that knowledge. Sometimes, we explain phenomena using non-scientific knowledge, which is like a fairy-tale.

On Feb. 2nd, the Cabinet Office announced over 60% people are interested about science and technology news in their opinion poll. Today, a lot of Japanese people think they have a scientific mind. However, science does not answer every issue. In these cases, we use non-scientific knowledge like: feelings, customs, fortune-telling and superstition. These are very powerful. They provid the answers quickly, and sometimes those answers include fairy-tale extracts. So, a lot of TV programs included non-scientific information like fortune-telling.

Science and technology discussions don't need fairy-tale extracts. However, our life needs these things. I think it's a luxury that we have.
